Hello I haven’t posted before but would be grateful for your advice. In sept 2019 I was diagnosed with FIGO stage 111C/IV high grade serous carcinoma of Fallopian tube origin. I had a laparoscopy which showed widespread small volume peritoneal disease. I commenced chemo for 6 sessions with Avastin for 18 sessions which I am still having. My CA level was 290 and came down to 16 but is steadily rising and now 21. I also have moderate ascites back again and have an ultrasound booked. I would very much like to get a second opinion and I’m sure my gp would be happy to refer me or I could pay privately. I wonder if anyone could recommend someone. Also is there anyone else living in Kent with a similar diagnosis who would be prepared to chat or email. I could do with the support. Thank you very much and apologies for this being so long.

I live up in northern Scotland, but used to live in Lincolnshire which is where I was when I was diagnosed in 2011 and had a recurrence in 2013. At the recurrence, my GP backed my request for a second opinion and I saw Professor Christina Fotopoulou. She is 'well known' by many of us on here....just 'google' her name and you'll see much more about her and also her work with Ovacome as one of the medical advisors.
Good luck; she made a huge difference to my life. Warm wishes, L. x
Hi. I have stage 111b serious and had the same treatment that you are now having. I was fine for a couple of years, but have now recurred and am starting treatment again.
I also live in Kent and would be happy to chat things through. It always helps to talk things through with someone who has the same experiences.
Dear Jenny I’m so sorry you’ve had a reaccurance and would love to talk to you it would help so much. If you would like to email me [removed by moderator - private message member for details]. I can give you my mobile number. Best wishes
