Hello
We know that a lot of you will be staying at home to protect both your health and that of those around you. During this time, we want to make sure that you are still able to receive the support and information that you need, and that you feel connected with the rest of our community.
Ovacome support services will be operating as normal; you can reach us Monday-Friday, 10am to 5pm with extended hours until 8pm on Tuesdays. Call 07503 682 311 or email support@ovacome.org.uk .
We will also be offering a new service; we will be running online workshops on various topics surrounding health and wellbeing after an ovarian cancer diagnosis, allowing you to speak directly to experts and ask them your questions. Our first two workshops will be taking place this week, on Wednesday and Friday.
On Wednesday 25 March, from 10:30 to 11:30am, we will be running a small group workshop with Fiona Fisher on how to be your own life coach and set small, achievable goals for yourself when life feels overwhelming. Having experienced a cancer diagnosis herself, Fiona would like to help our community to build confidence and create strategies for themselves.
On Friday 27 March, from 2 to 3pm, Head of Ovacome Support Anna Hudson will be running a group session, providing information and answering your questions.
These online workshop are really easy to join and Ovacome will be here to support you if you have any problems. You can register for both workshops on our website: ovacome.org.uk/staying-conn...
Best wishes
Julia (Support Services Officer)
