Good morning ladies.

I’m interested in seeing Dr Banerjee at The Marsden. I’m very happy with the treatment I’m getting at my local hospital but just want to ensure I’m having all the available testing and investigations I can. Do I get my consultant to refer me but potentially wait a while or go privately? Any advice much appreciated, thank you

You need only ask for a referral.

Susanna Banerjee has many trials going and is looking to recruit ladies like you, so the referral can come very swiftly.

Your Oncologist should be happy to have you take part, so ask for this today.

No need to go private.

This is all helpful for the NHS too.

Hi As Laura says, your oncologist should be happy to refer you on the NHS and they will send all your scan reports, notes, etc, to your second opinion. I'm in this process at the moment - I wouldn't bother going private. If you feel awkward asking your oncologist, speak to your CNS. Wishing you the best of luck xx Sundra
