I decided to try a Vitamin B 12 shot two days ago. I am not deficient in Vitamin B 12 but I had heard from other cancer patients undergoing therapy that it helped with fatigue and muscle cramping. I had my doubts but I though it was worth a a shot -(Get it?! Worth a shot- HAHA!) - okay, enough with the terrible puns. Anyway, this is my first time and It has only been since Tuesday and yesterday, I woke up feeling rested for the first time in about 6 months, and I barely cramped up at all- even when sitting in a restaurant for 3 hours- which has not been possible for so long! I also had more energy- although that almost came back to bite me because I did a little too much and got wiped out shortly afterward- but I did more than I usually do and I recovered faster.
I was wondering if anyone alse has had Vitamin B12 shots and what their experience has been. I would love this to be an answer to some of my issues. That would be a simple answer. I just hope it isn't a coincidence. I am going to try for another month and see if it seems to keep helping.

A colleague has these shots because she has a B12 deficiency and I know that after she has them she can be like a whirlwind. To me if it is doing you good what can the harm be (surely your body would get rid if you had too much?). If I suffered greatly from fatigue or cramping I seriously would be tempted. Do keep us updated! Kathy xx
0 thank you. I did look up if excessive vitamin B12 is an issue but actually it's not problematic unless the cause of it is due to liver problems. Otherwise having excessive vitamin B12 in your system doesn't have much effect. I guess the body flushes it out?
I had a B12 shot a few weeks ago as I was slightly anaemic . It did help with energy levels and aches and pains. I now take a daily B12 oral spray along with Vit D. As we get older our bodies don't adsorb vitamins as well, particularity B12. My late very elderly mum used to have 3 monthly injections to help to with balance and aches and pains as she had Parkinsons and it did help her . Lesley Xx
I did laugh at your pun 😂😂. I don’t have B12 shots but I take a B12 supplement daily and have done since my chemo days and unless it is shown to be damaging to me I will continue to take it alongside some other supplements I take daily. My oncologist was fine with me taking the B12. My energy levels these days are really good, possibly better than 10 years ago, I sleep quite well and my cramping has reduced but I do take magnesium which is good for leg cramps. Our ability to produce B12 reduces as we age so anything that helps must be a bonus. I do have a really good diet as well which must benefit our bodies too. Hope you continue to feel the benefits. ❤️Xx Jane
Thanks for letting us know! Will be interested to hear how you do. In the meantime I am going to give b12 a try and see if it helps me with puns!!
Lots of love

My chemo finished in March. I’ve had B12 & B6 injections once a week for the last two weeks. I’ve three more weeks to go. I definitely notice a difference in my energy levels. I feel very grateful to my doctor for recommending them.
