anyone familiar with this drug? Known for treating parasites in dogs. Has shown positive results for many, yet isn't approved by most hospitals and insurance plans.

I am really curious as it seems like a harmless option.

I don’t know anything about this, butI hope your wife can get into some new trials.

Meanwhile, I found this:

Do your research. Lots about it online. Seems harmless enough. It has been around for a while but no indication it helps OVC. My friend with Lung Cancer is starting the regimen. That is the cancer all the hype is about.

I don’t know about fenbendazole, but my integrative care doctor has recently put me on mebendazole which is used to treat pinworm in humans and has had some research indicating effectiveness with cancer. There are no side effects and it is very inexpensive. I get it from a compounding pharmacy which adjusts the dosage so that it is not the same as you would take for worms. With stage 4 platinum-resistant Ovarian I’m happy to try anything!

I have read of a person that was using both of these, with some successes, but it is still early.

how long have you been taking this now? Is your cancer ovarian?

I’ve only just started. Yes. I have ovarian cancer that has recurred. I’ve been on the mebendazole for about a month. I’m also being treated with Taxol so it’s hard to tell what’s actually working.

Gotcha.

My wife's ovarian never really went away, and they've exhausted all options at Mayo, so I'm here looking for new hope. I hope to hear good news from you soon!

I'm going to try it! You'd be interested in Joe Tippens blog at mycancerstory.rocks. I also listened to a podcast where he was interviewed and there is currently a grant-funded study going on at the University of Oklahoma (where Tippens is from) testing the efficacy of Fenbendazole on mice. The grant was funded after a scientist read his story (didn't believe it) and sought out to disprove him. She ended up saying it worked better than anything she tried on mice with OC, thus the grant. You can find the podcast on the Wellness Speaks podcast at wellness-speaks.com/episode...

It's fascinating stuff and worth a try!

Right! I have read everything from Tippins, and we begin the Care Oncology protocol next week. He suggested contacting them.

All;

We have been on Medbendeazol provided by Care Oncology for 8 weeks. Tumors have SHRUNK 15% across the board. This is after Mayo Clinic said there was nothing else they could do for us.

Main tumor of 3 inches on adrenal gland is almost totally dead from proton therapy at Ackerman Clinic. Wife is doing great! Hope at last! Next scan in 2 months..... excited and nervous!
