Hi everyone! I'm new to the site, and had a question.
December of 2017 I had horrible abdominal pain, and irregular bleeding. I went to my gyno, and he did an ultrasound. The ultrasound showed 3 complex solid cysts, the largest measuring 6.5 cm in diameter. I had surgery and he removed 3 dermoid cysts. December 2018 I was having the horrible abdominal pain again. This time it was worse, I couldn't even have a bowel movement without being in pain. I went straight to the ER, and they did a CT scan of my pelvis. They found a large complex cyst on my right ovary the size of a large grapefruit, it was about 12 cm. I was in surgery the next day to remove it because they were worried about ovarian torsion. The cyst was a dermoid cyst!!!!! Now, it's March 2019, only 3 months since my last surgery, and the pain is back. I went to my gyno, and they found ANOTHER cyst growing rapidly on my left ovary, it's complex, and they think with my history, that it's another dermoid cyst. I'm only 29 years old, and have also been dealing with endometriosis for years. I've opted for a complete hysterectomy with ovary removal. Has anyone experienced recurring dermoid cysts? If so, has it ever come back as cancer? I'm BRCA 1 positive, and breast and colon cancer run in my family. So, I get incredibly nervous and anxious any time a new "mass" pops up on my ovaries...
