Dear Sere ,
This is worrying news.
Do you mind giving us a bit more background?
What type of ovarian cancer do you have? Eg: high grade? Low grade? Serous? clear cell?
What has your treatment been since 2015?
What happened recently to get you in the path for receiving Olaparib?
What was your CA-125 before starting Olaparib and what is it now?
Where are you located?
Thanks,
Best wishes,
Laura

Dear Sera,
Thank you for getting back to me with your details.
You are very lucky to be able to receive Olaparib, but it may have been prescribed too soon.
Here in the UK, it is a maintenance drug given after successful treatment with platinum based Chemo.
So at first recurrence, I was put on 6 months of Carboplatin and Caelyx (Doxil), which has brought my CA-125 down from 473 to 17 and when I am finished I will go on to Niraparib, a sister drug to Olaparib.
I am also BRCA1 positive and have high grade serous carcinoma, soon to be in remission, I hope.
I hope you will receive similar successful treatment.
Best wishes,
Laura
This happened to me too my ca 125 went up I am due bloods again soon and I am very bloated think there maybe some fluid as GP suggested but onc nurse said the cancer cell death will be in the blood and can reflect the CA 125 at the start and can take a while to come down I don't know if anyone else has experienced this
