My mum finally got her report from the consultant meeting. Her CA125 has dropped down to 50 now but he doesn't seem to concerned about that as she had a problem with her wound and it does say she has some strandling on the peritoneal showing in the CT but it's unclear whether it's from surgery or any beasties remaining. It does state that she won't be having another scan until the end of her avastin in Sept unless her ca125 starts rising or she gets symptomatic. So let's hope and pray and keep everything crossed 🤞

Thank you to everyone who posted on my previous post

Thank you, i hope so...my mum is normally quite positive but she was a little knocked but I just keep thinking if he was really concerned he would be looking to getting her scanned etc again and not just waiting until the end of her avastin. It also says that the lymph node is 1cm but it hasn't grown or changed at all since prior to treatment so he thinks its insignificant...fingers crossed 🤞 x

A CA125 of 50 isn't that high to be honest. I know we all want it to remain below 35, I'm NED at the moment and my reading is holding steady below 3..... it rose to 3 on one test and I panicked (daft I know especially when different people can read the test differently!) so I can understand how your mum feels. It really does sound like she is going well though:). Avastin gave me a long remission. xx

My mum's wound opened and had to be packed and dressed for around 6 weeks and had just finally closed around a week before her ca125 test. 50 is good as originally it was 2500 plus.

I know there's so many ladies on here going through much harder times so I know we should be grateful for where she is at the moment.

Long may your remission continue.
