Just a quick question as to how often you all see your Oncologist, either in the UK or elsewhere. Is it every three weeks whilst undergoing chemo or Avastin and then less frequently when not receiving treatment. Do you see an Oncology nurse or Pharmacist if you don't see your Oncologist?

I saw mine every three weeks when on treatment. When I was on review it was every 3/4 months. Now I have a palliative care team who I contact when needed. I see a DN every two weeks

thank you. Just wondered as I only see mine every third out patients appt. so every nine weeks but didn't know if that was standard practice.
Hi, I'm in the UK. I saw a doctor at clinic every three weeks on chemo, then a doctor or nurse every six weeks on Avastin. If there were any problems then I was booked in for an extra appointment.

On first line, it was every three weeks, then every three months, when NED.
On Caelyx, it is every 4 weeks and I have seen my CNS or Onc pharmacist, when Consultant was unavailable.

When I was on Avastin only, it was probably about every 9 weeks. In between times I would see the outpatient duty doctor or the Nurse Practitioner.
When on chemo, it was a similar interval for ‘proper’ appointments, but she would often pop up from her normal clinic to the day unit to say hi and check how I would doing.
I am about to have dose 17 of Avastin ,just two left now.I go to the hospital for monitoring a day before my treatment.I always see a member of the team,sometimes Oncologist,registrar or nurse.At the beginning of treatment it was usually the oncologist but later on the nurse. xx
In Sydney Australia, I see my oncologist every 3 weeks on chemo. After frontline chemo, every 3 months. On 1st recurrence, I see oncologist every 4 months and surgeon who did my debulking every 4 months as he likes to stay involved. ie. See someone every 2 months. But that hasn't happened for reasons I won't bore you with! But all stable for now so glad to take a break from medical folk! Hugs from Oz.
A member of the team every 3 weeks approx my main oncologist v rarely. I think as I’m on treatment they just keep an eye on your notes but would see me if things went wrong. Hoping to see onc for scan results though.
In NZ. While on treatment, Oncologist every 3 weeks. While off treatment appointment with Oncologist every 3 months. Always see Oncologist. If he is on leave I see one of the other Oncologists.

I'm in Ireland, initially saw constant oncologist prior to starting chemo, once during (had 8 cycles over a 6 month period) & when finished. Sow oncology nurse (Obviously 😊) when getting Chemo & house Dr. was available if I had a problem -otherwise it was my GP or phone into CNM2 nurse for advice. Not on Avastin or maintenance. Now, I alternate between Consultant Oncologist & Gyne Oncologist (Surgeon) -seeing one of them every 3 months.

I get my blood workup usually once a week, then see my Oncologist every 3-4 weeks. This changed, because I've become severely anemic. I went in for IV Iron treatments twice a week with Nupogen WBC booster shots, when whites were too low. When my counts are good, I'm on 75mg Ibrance and 2.5mg Letrozole. I made it 15 days on. That was stopped Jan 30. As of last Thursday, Feb 14, my Onc said I was done getting the IV & fluids. Now, we're monitoring the "dry pneumonia." (I wasn't hydrated enough for the chest X-rays to show it, hence it's "dry.")

When chemo was every 3 weeks I saw oncologist before each one, when chemo was every 4 weeks, again saw before each one, now just started on a parp and seeing every week,
