How are you all? I’ve not been here a while but did read all your lovely messages from my last post. Thank you all so much.
I’m just back from Hammersmith hospital. Went Monday to see a consultant. On Tuesday I went back for a procedure to have a metal stent fitted which is draining a cyst in my stomach which is causing compression. I go back for a scan in two weeks and they’ll take it out or replace it with a permanent plastic one. I just need to be able to eat to build myself up as I’ve lost three stone. I’m relying on a wheelchair as I’ve no strength.
Also Hammersmith can get me rucaparib which I’ll be starting soon hopefully. Hoping this drug will keep me here longer.
Thank you all for being such a strength of love and support. You are amazing ladies.
Will kick this cancer gremlin. Will have a bloody good go anyway.
Sending you all so much love and huge hugs xxxx

Hi Suzanne, so pleased to hear from you, hoping the stent is working for you & you can start eating. That's a lot of weight to lose, have the team offered any suggestion on build up drinks or are you just seeing what you can manage for calories?
You are a very sweet young lady and I see how you fight and keep on fighting. Keep your amazing and bubbly spirit going long as you can. You are beautiful in and out.

Hi Suzanne. I'm so glad something is being done at last to help you. I'm sure once you start eating again you'll be feeling so much better and stronger.
Thanks for keeping in touch with us all. I do worry about you.
It’s so lovely to hear from you. I have always heard that the Hammersmith is a great hospital for people like us. So glad they have a such a good plan in place for you. I Think about you often. Keep us posted. Hopefully you will get the parp Inhibitor going soon. I have just started one. Much love Sophia xx
Wonderful to hear from you, Suzanne. I think of you often, so it's nice to be able to read a more positive post from you. I'm glad the Hammersmith is able to offer you a Parp. I'll be keeping everything crossed for you that it works. I'll be asking my oncologist about 'what next' for me when I have my half-way review with her in a couple of weeks time.
Hi Suzanne, I'm glad you posted to let us know how you are , I'm always thinking of you
,It would be good if you an eat and get your strength back as you said we need that strength to keep going and I know you will ..Take care my friend Lorraine xx
Thanks so much for the update, Suzanne! Wishing you all the best in regaining your strength and then starting the rucaparib. Sending hugs and positive energy 🤗🙏🏻
Dear Suzanne , such positive news that your onco team are vigorously fighting your corner and despite all , you are determined to keep up the fight . After another sleepless feverish night , your post this morning was a wonderful early am pick me up for all of us. Anorexia is a battle having lost 2 stone , I’m with you on that . despite being bombarded with “ tempting healthy foods “ by family , friends etc . Juicy grapes and berries seem to work as do smoothies
In between lots of water either filtered or fizzy. Do you find every now and again you can unexpectedly say eat a soft boiled
Egg ? Very thin vogels bread with marmite
Did go down also .
Keep us in touch you brave warrior . All on your side and sending you big hugs and much love .
Your doing a fantastic job of fighting this beastie, and long may you continue. Keep up with the positive attitude Suzanne. I often think about you. Xxx
It’s so very nice to hear from you lovely. The stent sounds like a positive step and hopefully the rucapirb has the desired results. I’m so pleased you've been given some possibilities to help you beating this bloody awful disease. I hope you’re able to eat and build up some strength in readiness for the treatment.
Keep strong lovely lady, as always we’re here for you. Sending love and gentle hugs ❤️Xx Jane
So pleased to hear that hammersmith are helping and sending you a big virtual hug.
If only i could send you some of my extra weight I would love to help you out. Hopefully the rucapirb will buck you up a bit and try some of the ensure drinks as the others have suggested. Sending lots of love. Sian
So glad you were able to get to the Hammersmith and that they have been able to help you. Hopefully you will be able to have the rucapirib. Keep positive.
I check almost daily on all the lovely ladies (and gents) here but LOOKING for a post from you (and Kryssy--really would like to know how she is doing as well). SO GLAD to read you are getting other opinions and something is being done. What happened to your blockage? Did it resolve itself or did you get help? I guess losing three stone means maybe it is not unblocked? Get your wheelchair on a plane and get over here and I will make you try medical marajuana to give you a giant appetite--I will fatten you up to go back!
Really though--I am glad there is hope and it sounds like more than that---keep trying to get the calories down Suzanne. We need you---and it sounds like positive steps are being made. I am still on my PARP going on 8 months so I have high hopes for you! Thinking of you always Suzanne. oxoxox Judy
Thank you for the update and the replies will I'm sure give you an extra boost to your determination. Wishing you all the best and I hope the PARP brings the results your onc is hoping for. Gina
Glad to hear they inserted a stent-hope making your stomach more comfortable will help you want to eat. As far as the build-up products, have you tried the puddings as well? You may have already this information, but sometimes the build-up drinks are more tempting when taken in different forms such as making milkshakes, popsicles or different recipes with them-do you have someone around who could experiment with them for you?
I’m wishing you all the best in your continued struggle against this beast. xx
Oh my, you have lost quite a bit of weight. The cancer gremlin, as you accurately describe it, will not defeat you, as you have a wonderfully positive attitude. Hugs xxoo
So glad you have more hope now, Suzanne. Hope everything will be sorted out soon and you'll be able to eat. And regain some strength. Thinking of you, love and a hug, Solange😊
Amazing Suzanne. Little steps to take and you'll hopefully be on the up soon. Hammersmith has a great reputation and it sounds like they have a good plan for you. Take care xx
That’s the spirit lovely lady! Is your next chemo 2 or 3rd ? I’m heading for 3rd and hoping to put it off until end of January! Not sure how much pain to expect or symptoms to show! 🙏 jelly & custard and all goodies should be on your list! Thinking of you jools 💐💐
Hello Suzanne, sorry for being so late to the party - we have been away on holiday. You're having a rough rough time but really pleased to hear that Hammersmith are doing good things for you. Wishing you the very best of luck for your scan next week and your next treatment options. Sending love to a lovely lady, Woody & Suzanne xx
