Thank you very much to those of you who alerted me to user SUS10. I contacted Health Unlocked to ask them to ban this user and I also flagged up that these types of messages/spamming etc seem to be getting more frequent.
Heath Unlocked replied with the following information & suggestions:
- They have banned SUS10
- They have put alerts in place to let them know if a user is exhibiting suspicious behaviour which they will then look into (they don't automatically ban on these alerts because they don't want to restrict genuine members)
- They suggest using the mute function if you receive spam private messages. This will mean the user cannot contact you but also alerts Health Unlocked so they can investigate
(when you receive a private message, the speech bubble has 3 little dots in the corner. Click on these and it gives you the option to Mute/Report the user)
- They said they their spam filters do catch the majority of spam but they are going to work on improving these further
Please do keep reporting any spam messages to me so we can get the user blocked as quickly as possible and keep My Ovacome as a safe, supportive space.
