Starting chemo

Hi i am starting vinorelbine and herceptin on thurs i have secondary breast cancer which they have seen early through ct scans for frozen shoulder after radiotherapy .. i suffer from anxiety and panick attacks and im just wondering if anyone else has been on this and is ok .. please no negative info as i have a phobia of medication and i wouldnt take it

Hello Lorna,

Starting medication for cancer is really scary, but hopefully it won’t be as bad as you imagine. When I went for my first round of chemo I couldn’t stop crying and was totally petrified, then I found the whole experience to be a complete anti-climax.

I just wanted to let you know that Ovacome, the group you have posted in, is for women with ovarian cancer and their supporters. If you search HealthUnlocked, I expect you will be able to find a forum for breast cancer, and the members there might be able to offer you more help than we can.
