Just had a thought in my head as I’m starting to panic again 🤣
I’m coming up to first check up in Aug with the lovely prof.
Wondering if anyone had surgery for low grade with no chemo after ??

It's always a worry just before appointments but I'm sure you'll get some good news. Yet again I'm unable to give out any advice but I still send you good wishes. The other Zena x
Always a tricky decision... the treatment for low-grade OC.
Initially I had the debulking surgery for borderline with some low-grade serous OC, then just watch & wait for a bit more than 2 years. After low-grade recurrence in some lymph nodes, I had a laparotomy surgery again. This time it's followed by chemo but only because I need to check that off to stay aligned with the German guideline, otherwise we would have gone straight to Letrozole. Personally, I believe chemo is not very effective for low grade but hey... gotta try at least once, to make the insurance happy.
Good luck with the check up.. all fingers crossed for you. Maus
I was initially diagnosed 10years ago, & still get some nervousness before appointments. I have a scan next week &I appointment the following week. I had surgery with no chemo for gct, a rare type of oc, which is usual in U.K. for that type. The beast did come back though. Di
Zena--I am doing the NED dance for you over here. Don't let the C win by thinking about it TOO much--enjoy till August, then have a semi-stressful wait for the all clear, then you can be relieved again! oxox
Hi Zena,
I was diagnosed with low grade serous in July 2017. Did not have chemo and instead Started Letrozole in September of 2017. Had scan last January and it was clear, just had scan again last week and it was clear again.
I was very anxious the entire month before, going for results it’s like going in front of a firing squad😊 I think we all go through the anxiety and just hope it gets easier as it looks like follow ups are none ending.
Hang in there and best wishes! Sending love and positive thoughts your way💗

Hi Zena,
We just got back from week in lovely Cornwall. Lovely weather and lovely time - camping.
Zena when did you get your review appoitment from our lovely Prof? I was in just before you but not received an appointment yet. Post surgery I was put on Aromasin - no chemo - low grade doesn't generally have the same degree of success as our sisters with high grade.
Best wishes. Gwen xx
