Cancer Drugs Fund. NICE stopped the funding Avastin at the beginning of March 2015, I started January that year.

I'm doing well, signs of a recurrence though and CT results today 😵😬. Xx

Scan shows remission 🙏 so on going with avastin. Good luck stay in touch xx

My news a bit mixed. There's growth but not massive or rapid. Likely to start chemo again in September. Xx

Hi, I'm on Avastin on my 74th infusion, I've been on it for 4 years and have been told as long as I can cope with it, and it's doing its job my ca125 tends to stay at 20, they will leave me on it. I think the CDF was the cancer fund, which was stopped just after I was placed on it, I think your only allowed 12/18 months worth of the Avastin now. X

Hi Jools. I just came across your question & thought I should add to it. I've had around 60 infusions of avastin as a maintenance drug. Infusions were initially along with carbo/caelyx. Three-weekly, it must add up to around 3.5 years. I feel as fit as a fiddle. Has a few minor side effects. I'll be forever grateful for the opportunity. Best wishes. Pauline.
