Has anyone had luck with Lynparza? After using all drugs, chemos etc available, I started Lynparza 9 months ago and now seems like it's not working for me. I'm devastated as it will be another birthday, Xmas my partners birthday to try to make it through so, my partner doesn't have to have miserable Xmas, birthdays etc.
I have a CT scan today and see oncologist on Monday. Trying so hard to keep positive!

I have been on Olaparib now for a year and three months and have felt well with no side effects. The oncologist plans for a scan next year.I have blood tests at the GP each month.Have they given a reason why you need to have several scans during your treatment? I wonder why you feel that it may be back? Hope everything works out okay for you. x
Hi, a friend of mine stopped Lynparza as it was not working for her. They changed the treatment. This is her 4th line of treatment. I have been on Lynparza and Avastin for 2 months now and so far it is working for me - keeping the cancer at bay.
Hi. Are you BRCA or HRD positive? You don’t say if you’re having symptoms or your numbers are going up? I’ve been on Olaparib for 17 months and so far so good. I’m now on a half dose because of side effects. I hope you find it is working. Xx
I've been on olaparib since jan, 2020 after first-line chemo.Only have scans if I have symptoms so had first scan last month following bouts of abdo pain.
Very grateful that nothing seen on my scan (and pains have stopped since I ran out of turmeric supplements!).
It seems the olaparib is working for me.
It will be stopped after 2 years so pretty soon but I'm hopeful for a long residual effect.
Really hoping your scan is clear and that the olaprib is working for you .
Along with many others , I hopeand praythat you get good results. I had lynparza last year and had too many side effects and wS taken off it . My oncologist has started me back on it , but at a reduced dose . I think most of us get some anxiety over scan results and visits to the oncologist. Do try and remain positive, there are a lot of weapons they can use to , all the best to you !!!
I have been on Lynparza for 2 years now...I see my Oncologist gynecologist every 3 months and she refuses to recommend a ct scan because of the radiation activity in the CT.scan..is that even true that I can't have a ct scan because of me being on Lynparza?
I was on it for 11 months but CA125 started creeping up , did scan and sadly ca back again so am on 4Th lone chemo for 6 months. It was an experiment for me though as am BRCA negative and here in Greece they’re not giving niraparib as yet for us negatives. 😢I do hope you’re mistaken and all will be well.
In Australia Lynparza (niraparib) when brca negative, they now use when all chemos have been used and nothing else left. Oh, and it has to be advanced ovarian cancer.
