Beautiful thought - I tell my son that I’ll alwaya be here around him even if not physically - -i was diagnosed several months after my grandad died and for a long time after I came home from surgery , I’d wake up and sense him in my bedroom - sounds crazy but it was comforting and gave me hope x

After I received the news that my father had died, I went outside and there was a red Kite (of the bird variety) flying over our house. It circled around for a while, watching us as they do.

Now whenever I see one I think that' it's him, casually dropping by to keep an eye on us. I think I will be telling my younger daughter to look out for something similar, perhaps a nosy robin would be appropriate.

That's a lovely association. For me, it is the cherry blossom of May, the month my mother died. When I see the blossom every year in this wonderful month I feel her presence.
