Hospital stay again.

Sometimes I think I should have my own bed here the amount of times I’ve been in over the last few years! CNS sent me to get stronger pain relief from my GP yesterday as the pain in my rib cage had become unbearable. He sent me to hospital where I have spent the night, now waiting for CT scan. Consultant thinks there is fluid caused by an enlarged liver pushing my diaphragm up which is causing the pain. Definitely some liver impairment from the tests which indicates disease progression into my liver - not the best news. I know that chemo can still help, but everybody always thinks the worse when it’s in the liver. Not good 😢

Just sending a big huge virtual hug. Hold on in there. Things are never as bad as our imagination might tell us. I hope they are able to do something for the pain and offer a way forward to attack the bugger.xxx

Really sorry to hear this Becky. I hope that at least you've now got some effective pain relief? Waiting for a scan especially in hospital is always horrible and brings up all those fears, but once scan is done your team will know what they are dealing with and be able to treat it so you'll feel better.

Thoughts very much with you

Sorry Becky...hopefully they will sort the pain for you but being in hospital is demoralising. Let’s hope they let you go sooner rather than later xx

I always joke that I have a season ticket for A &E as my bowel obstructions make me a regular visitor! Liver tumours can be removed surgically,I had one removed in 2011 as well as a surprise one in my diaphragm.Good luck.
