Help I don't have ins. And I am 50 and I have been bleeding for about 1 year nonstop. I was going to the Dr. And my apps were normal. Yesterday the Dr said I need a hysteroscopy. D&C to see why I'm bleeding he gave me a shot of silver nitrate an I'm still bleeding.
Btw I have 2 cyst one in left an one in right ovary .
I'm wondering
With a hysteroscopy being done increase the chances of cancer if i have that ? (Wild cells).
Because I lost my sis to cervical cancer and when they did a partial hysterectaamy I was told that the open air CAUSE the cancer to spread that's why when she passed away I ordered a autopsy and she had bad cells from head to toe . I'm so confused about this please help.

Hi, On reading your post I can feel how worried you are about air spreading cancer cells, that is if you have cancer, I think this is one off the myths surrounding cancer.
Your Dr is doing the right thing by having you have a hysterectomy you do need to find the problem.
Try not to worry I know it's easy said then done and until you have the results
it does not have to be cancer.
Below is a post I read I hope it can give you some peace of mind.
Thank you but they are not doing a hysterectomy they are doing a hysteroscopy. I also just saw some exams that my ovaries have enlarged by 2 centimeters since 2014.
What exam is best a laparoscopy or a hysteroscopy. Ty
Hi Sorry I typed in Hysterectomy by mistake I know you are having a hysteroscopy, my reply is to give you some information about air spreading cancer I hope I eased your worry's in that respect.
I'm sure your Dr will do the right test for you if you are not satisfied do have a second opinion you do need to have answers.
I hope this is all sorted out soon take care Lorraine xx
I am sorry you are so worried and we are all here to help you. Try not to worry too much at this stage before you know more. Try and find relaxing and distracting things to take your mind off worrying.
Have they done a ca125 blood test for you?
This is very important and will relax your mind if they can give you the result.
The chances are that you probably don’t have cancer and that you will be fine, so please try and not to worry too much.
A surgery can slightly increase a risk but only marginally and usually only when something bursts, which it does not sound like it will be in your case, especially if they are going small-scale surgery.
I am sorry for the loss of your sister. The open air would not have caused your sisters spread in your sister’s case. Cells most likely would have simply escaped around her body and spread that way. Rogue cells can find their way into other areas through the blood stream.
That have not done anything yet I have an appointment at the end of next month I'm leaving today to ny I'm so afraid I have been trying to get someone to do it an all they say is only if my primary gives me a refferrall Thank you I can't even sleep o don't know how people live with situations like this I'm so scared
