Pretty good result after carbo/caelyx.

Just been for scan result after 6 sessions 2nd line carbo caelyx treatment and though Ned was never on the cards the tumours in liver abdomen and pelvis are all reduced plus the lung one is stable so I am really happy with that. I can get on with enjoying Christmas and no hospital for 3 months - what will I do with myself! Just need to get over the fatigue and cope with a tooth extraction next week and I can relax for a bit. Think I might have a little tipple later!!

Hoping all you ladies awaiting scans etc get some positive news too. Love and hugs

Jane x

Hi Jane,

Great news!

I’m hoping for a break now - two more Avastin to go, but CA125 on the rise, so I may not be that lucky! I suppose it depends on my recent scan results whether or not they want me to start on chemo again, but I’m considering asking for a break anyway until after my holiday in March. I just feel I need to allow my body to have some time without chemicals coursing around my veins!!

We’ll see! Ali x

Go for that break if it’s an option as you can build up towards another load of chemo if you have to, and enjoy your holiday feeling a little less affected by the drugs!

Have a lovely time - I’m thinking of Venice in the spring!

I love Venice. We go to a different town for a day or two on our way back from skiing - next year irs Turin, this year Milan, the year before Venice.

Stay warm today, Ali x

That's great news Jane!
