Got the results of my 6 month scan (6 months into NED from first line) last evening and I’m still in complete remission. Completely clear scan 🎉. Ca125 nice and low too.
As my photo shows I’ve got a huge milestone today of returning to my job as a nurse. I know that this little bug*er might turn up to surprise me one day but for now I’m just so happy. Love to all.
Congratulations! What an uplifting post, so happy for you. I too was diagnosed with stage 3c high grade serous, is that what you had? Continue to keep well and very very long remission. Take care Xxxx
Thanks Jane. First hal- day of my phased return done, felt like putting comfy slippers back on. My Onc did say not to work too hard, I think after everything I’ve been through I’ve learned that lesson xxx
Yes, that was this morning - it looked fine. The radiologist didn’t know I have cancer, and said all my organs looked very healthy 😆 She then said I was very young to have had a hysterectomy, and when I told her why she was really shocked!
Wonderful! Funnily enough I’ve just had my 6 month check (CA125 up a bit but Sept scan clear, Dr not worried) and recently returned back to my nursing role as well. It is indeed a milestone! I hope you don’t feel too exhausted and enjoy the normality 💜
That is wonderful news! I am so happy for you. Welcome back to your nursing position. Your smile says it all! Continue with great health and great report.
Congratulations absolutely fabulous! That's such a great feeling and you have a fantastic attitude. I'm a cop and also stay positive. It's key! I'm retiring in the next two years. My next career I want to go back to school to be an LVN. And work with cancer patients. You are an angel and I bet everyone was happy to see you back at work. God bless, Liz
I too am a nurse. I returned to work 6 wks after my surgery and worked through chemo. I will have my 2nd CA125 post chemo in December. My last one in September was 15. Here is to many years of NED girl!
