Put my 4 month check off a month because I want to go away for November. Feel great, but of course, now worried I am being stupid & over confident! We have a GP or 2 on here-do you think that 1 month could be vital?

Hi lovely,
Not a GP but if you feel well go for it to be honest as everyone says the longer you're off chemo the better for your body. If you feel unwell you can always contact your CNS or Onc team xxx
I'd say if you feel well, then nothing bad is going to happen. You can always phone the hospital and see if they can fit you in if needs be.
My CA125 was up in June and my local hospital was just going to wait another 3 months because I felt really well and didn't have any symptoms. The gynaecologist I saw then told me not to worry because whilst 3 months felt like eternity to me, in the bigger picture it was nothing. A lot has happened since then, but I am now at 3 months later, and still feeling totally fine with only small changes since then.
Hope you can enjoy your holiday.
Vicki xx
Go for it!
if you are happy go for it, just bring paracetamol, immodium and ducolax to cover all eventuallities and have a ball
Thank you-will do xx
They knew I was stage 3 before they even operated. I had a holiday booked which delayed my surgery 3 weeks. My consultant said a holiday was more important and a short delay wouldn't do any harm. If you feel well, I'd definitely say you've done the right thing!
Happy holiday.

If you are feeling well then go away. I have just had cytoreduction surgery and I am due to start second round chemotherapy at the end of October so that I can spend half term with my grandsons.
Hi, I know how you are feeling, as I have put off taking my next treatment for four weeks because I'm booked to go to Portugal just for a weekend ,20th Oct with my sister's and sister in law's 11 of us.
The doctor said once I was feeling good now then it should not make a difference. If I take the injection now they are worried I may get a flare-up so it would be best for me to be home if this happens.
You know I think we should always make the most of it when we are good, and go for it.

Sounds like it’s unanimous! Looking forward & thank you girls 😊
agree with everyone....enjoy! xx
Go Celebrate your NED and trust your intuition that you will be just fine for holiday. They say we should always trust our first instinct and that 2nd guessing is a waste of time and energy. Just about everything I had read most doctors are not concerned until you become symptomatic and you are feeling great.. go with Great!
