Hi Barbara,
No, but I had reeeeally wanted to do it! My liver function ruled me out, but I did a lot of research into the trial, and from my perspective it was a win/win. Guaranteed the trial drug, with the get out clause of reverting back to chemo if it wasn't successful. The only unknown was the full set of side effects, but those already identified didn't seem too bad. I hope it proves to be a useful drug going forward, but I guess it will be a while before that is known.

Hi Barbara
Just to say I am going to one of the participating hospitals, Bristol Royal Infirmary next week to talk to them about the possibility of doing this trial, it is called Trioc TroVax and is an Immunotherapy drug based on the Smallpox Vaccine in its second phase. If you are interested get your Oncologist to refer you. If you check out the Cancer Research website it will tell you where your nearest hospital is. I think it is for ladies with rising CA125 and no or a small amount of disease on a scan. It takes a while to get the referral so you need to act quickly. Good luck love Sophia xx
Thanks ladies, I am hoping to speak with a doctor involved in trial here in Nottingham to find out more, asap! Just wanted to know if anyone is on it now, and how they're doing! Looks interesting. Bx
Yes I most certainly will! Thanks Bx
