Hi Zena, I've still got a big belly four years down the line. Nothing I do gets rid of it.

Best wishes, the other Zena x

Could it be they only drained some off to make you comfortable and left a bit behind?

No the nurse tweeked it (ouch)

And I did a bit of aerobics.

But empty.

My dad thinks my stomach muscles are stretched after the first 13 litres

Of course, I'm far too old for anyone to suggest that to me.

Yes....it was more comfortable but def not normal....the chemo brought it down and banished the acities in the for me xx

Same for me as Lyndy described. I looked 6 months pregnant upon diagnosis, has some of the fluid drained in the ER (where I was diagnosed.) It helped, but I was still quite swollen. Now, I've finished 12 chemo treatments (4 rounds) and the ascites is barely detectable on the scan. Stomach is back to quasi-normal. I wish the same for you.

Wow fingers crossed I bought lots of summer clothes that no longer fit 😀😀

And I know this is least of my worries xx

Hi it was more comfortable when drained but still had a big belly until I started chemo, after second infusion you could see the difference.

I also had 3 litres drained prior to first chemo. I felt more comfortable but as you say still had a 'big belly'. It definitely improved on start of chemo.
