Good morning ladies... OC CA125 Solid mass with vascularity. Is this ovarian cancer??
Let me gove you a little background. 18months ago i under went methotrexate treatment for a pregnancy of unknown location. This process went on for arounf 3 months as my HCG levels would not fall eventually they did but began to experience pain in tummy and bleeding. I went to see my gyne and he suggested a subtotal hysterectony with conservation of my ovaries.
October last year i had this procedure and unfortunately within a week i contracted sepsis. This almost killed me and i was extremely poorly over the christmas period.
Over the last three months i have been suffering from pains again on my left side of my abdomen and hurrendous crippling pains in my right hip. I am over weight so pit that down to siatica.
Two weeks ago i finally went to my gp who refered me for a hip xray and an ultrasound also ttansvaginal. The xray cane back normal on my hip but my ultrasound came back as urgent the same day tuesdat this week. They found a 50mm×40mm solid mass on my left ovary with vascularity. I was then sent for bloods yesterday CA125. they marked them as urgent but still haven't been sent back to my gp.
I have been refered to the gyne as urgent. What is the possibility of this being sonething more than nothing??? I am 30 years old.

Hello...sorry to hear that you have this worry after all the other things you have been through.
The problem with OC is that it has vague symptoms and is difficult to diagnose- but when you are awaiting results that is of no comfort whatsoever!
It is relatively rare particularly at your age but no one can give you a definitive until they've done all the tests they are doing for you.
I am sorry that isn't more helpful but waiting is the name of the game. What could you do for yourself to make it easier? Is there a friend or family member who could hold your hand? Don't forget you can ring or visit Macmillan locally for support too- you don't have to have a diagnosis. Let's hope that in a few weeks this will all be resolved but whatever happens you have support here. Best of luck Lyndy xx
Hello and welcome, though sorry to meet under this condition.
First, Lyndy's advice is spot on. Ovarian cancer has vague symptoms and until they run some tests, you just don't know.
Second - The most common type of Ovarian cancer (epithelial) is now believed to originate from the fallopian tubes. Some surgeons, depending on their training and hospital, take out the fallopian tubes (whenever ovaries are kept) and some keep them in (even though they do not do anything). Do you know if you still have your fallopian tubes or not? It may lead to a quicker diagnosis!
There is a potential of it being scar tissue pain so don't panic just yet. Have they given you anything to relieve your symptoms for now?
The gynae will likely carry out an internal investigation feel your tummy and lymph nodes and request scan and bloods. Unfortunately there's no age bias with OC.
You should be seen within two weeks but try not to let it dominate your life until you know either way. Today is precious regardless of the result
Ive had the scan and they have seen the solid mass with vascularity bu bloods have just come back and they are 12. So hopefully nothing to worries about now. Just have the biopsy x

sounds like your doctors are on top of your results and are doing what the can to get you seen as soon as possible and take care of the problem... Love you low CA125 count. that is great news too.
