I went recently to see about getting sterilised and cause i had been bleeding for 2 weeks the doctor done a internal scan and a ultrasound and found a large cyst on my ovary. nurse took blood from me and doctor says i need a mri before he decides what he is doing. i am still bleeding after 4 weeks and in a lot of pain.

Hi you need an MRI to give the doctor more information in what is going on, for the doctor to decides how best to treat you. I am sorry you have this worry and sending you my best wishes for a good outcome love x G x

Hi! I know how worrying this waiting time is, try to spend the time filling it with activity, something each day as a little treat or diversion. The doctors will decide on which course of treatment is best for you after looking at all the info from the various scans and blood test results. I hope things are not as bad as you fear.....and we always fear the unknown!

Good luck

Love Wendy xx

Hi Moose!

while waiting don't forget the painkillers and then do as much as you can to distract yourself! The MRI is very noisy but otherwise painless (if a bit claustrophobic) practice relaxing (yoga breathing is good) it will give your consultant a much better picture of what is going on!

Good luck

Margaret!

Hi Moose

Every sympathy with your dilemma. If you are in a lot of pain I would tell the hospital - perhaps they could do the scan sooner.

Love Anne xx

I see my gynae tomorrow and meanwhile my left boob is a pretty pink and a bit from the radiotherapy. I suspect tomorrow's news is going to be that CA125 is rising as the last two tests run by my GP showed a slight rise though still under 30. I dare say I shall go from dealing with breast cancer to more treatment for the OC.

Hope everything went okay Margaret and wish you all the best for your treatment. Ive had my results of mri and this suggests a benign but fairly large right ovarian cyst so they are going to remove this when i get sterilisation done. Which hopefully will be soon and hopefully any tests they will do will be fine. Lots of love Shirley
