I have a really sore pain under and above my right side of rib worse pain I have had can't even lie on my right had side I just finished chemo feb but it's back allready I have been put on letrozole to see if this help to early to get any more chemo anybody else had this if so what was it xxx

Hi Friscok, seeing you are on Letrozole I am wondering if it could be the side effects of this drug. I looked at the side of effects on line & you can get bone pain & muscle & joint pain. I am not a GP but could that be what is causing the pain? Just be on the safe side can you call the help line on here or maybe call your surgery? I hope you can sort this out soon take care Cindyxx

The area you describe is the home of your liver it's possible it's not happy with certain treatments i.e. Toxicity you really need to let your Drs know they may need to change your treatment or medication .

Hello! It would be good to talk to your doctor about it and possibly ask for a CT Scan. It could be so many different things! I have the same pain and it is due to the disease having spread to my liver. When my diagraphram expands it rubs against the 'tumors' making it feel like a knife is stabbing me in that area. With everything inflamed it makes the right side extremely tender and almost impossible to lay on.
