Diagnosed OV4 Dec 15. I went natural for 6 months but bowel blockage forced chemo on me. Glad now, 10 months later, I feel good. Also on medicinal cannabis. Not braca. Fingers crossed to continue like this. Chemo was not bad. I certainly believe it saved my life and the med cannot, must be helping with side effects. Anyone else have a similar story? Lovely to meet you all 🤗

Hi there, so lad you're feeling good. I am BRCA1 but was diagnosed stage4 in 2010 and I'm still here. If you don't mind me asking, where do you get your medicinal cannabis? Is it oil, and is it prescribed or did you decide to take it? I have a very bad tremor and my son said I should try the oil as it would not have the same side effects as the medication I've been prescribed. Hope you stay well for a long, long time. Ann xx

That's very very encouraging Ann, I hadn't heard of a stage 4 person doing so well. Well done! I'm not able to say where I get the oil because it's illicit still. It wasn't prescribed as no doctor here has that authority but they are all interested. I'm in Western Australia. It's definitely very powerful and has been shown to stop tremors and seizures. I believe it's worth looking into, if you can get it.

Ah I see, it is similar here in Britain but achievable. I'm glad my little story encouraged you. Everyone is different and we don't all fall into the category of the 5 year prognosis. I don't really know why I'm still here, maybe my strength came from being a single mum of 4 children at the age of 31, and I now have grandchildren I need to be there for. I envy you living in Australia, I don't like the British weather, to cold and wet 😂😂. Stay well and strong x

Glad you are feeling good and long may it continue. I tried cannabis oil for a bit but I didn't like sensation as you have to take quite a lot. It's a shame, I used to love it when I was in my 20s! I get it from The Netherlands through the post. If you DM me I will give you the address.

I know what you mean. But I take the largest amount at night and sleep well. I take a very small amount in the daytime as long as I'm not driving anywhere.

Also, if you take it rectally it doesn't have that funny effect! Seemingly it doesn't get processed through the liver so you don't get that body stone. In Europe, lots of rectal meds are prescribed. I put the oil in veggie capsules, works a treat!

Hi there,

I am taking Low dose naltrexone which works on the opioid receptors. I don't know if I can take the CO at the same time. I would like to try though, but don't want to end up in cloud cuckoo land :-)

I might try the rectal thing and see how that goes though as I have 4 syringes of it sitting in my bedside table.

Hi I just wanted to ask if your LDN was prescription or private?

I get it on private prescription from dicksons chemist in Rutherford Glasgow. They organise it for you if you ring them

Personally I would try it with the ldn. If you use the veggie capsules, be sure to use lubricant too.

Best wishes for a good result. Xx

It is is my spleen too and I am totally knackered all the time. It's weird as I have never had an issue with my energy before. I wondered about having an operation to have the spleen removed, bit I read on here that you have to have antibiotics every day, and I certainly don't want that. I am trying to boost my immune system using Low dose naltrexone.

I had my spleen removed during my big op -was not expecting it! I take 2 penecillin twice a day for life-an hour before food or 2 hours after-it certainly controls your eating habits. Recently I was bitten by my dog and spent 3 days in hospital-very vulnerable to infection. Apperently I had a tumour in and on my spleen.

I think you need as much as possible, Sue. I know that's not very scientific but when you start it, you'll work out how much you can cope with. Watch "run from the cure" on YouTube. And you will feel more fatigued - so night dose are high and you'll sleep better too. Hope this helps.

Suzie, the CO doesn't give me strength at all, quite the opposite. That's why people take it at night as it can help you sleep and you don't feel the effects.
