I was diagnosed with grade 4 High serrous ovarian cancer in Jan of this year. I did 3 chemo sessions at RUH, who were brilliant, kind and informative. Then up to London for big surgery and back to RUH for 3 more chemos. Now on Niraparib since August.

I was really impressed by the Ovacome meeting today in Bath. A group of women in the same boat can be so supportive!

Great session filling us in on medical research, then a bit about pre-hab and re-hab and in the afternoon a very interesting session on nutrition.

Hope you find another meeting near you to attend in the future.

Actually the nutritionist said that most food myths about superfoods etc were just not true. The advice was to eat a healthy varied diet and enjoy your food! No miracle cures I’m afraid.

Thank you for such an encouraging msg. CA125 was 500 at the start, down to 38 after chemo, down to 18 after surgery. Then on down to 11 but it’s gone up for 3 months to 13, 18 and 20. Having a scan in Dec to see what’s going on…
