I have been reading your posts for a few weeks but not posted before. I just want to thank everyone as joining the forum has been the next step along my 'journey' and I'm glad I have as reading your posts have been very reassuring! And today have made us laugh! I now feel I'm not the only person inspecting side views of my stomach on a daily basis! And that it's okay that the right side of my stomach is bigger than the other! Small things but so so important!!
I was diagnosed in February 2016 with 3c OC, had surgery in March followed by 6 cycles of chemo. Got through it using the 'one day at a time' approach! And writing a journal!
Your posts have helped me to realise that my post-treatment anxieties, worries and concerns are 'normal', that my aches and pains can be 'normal', that changing my diet is 'normal' and that even my obsession with my stomach size and shape is normal too!!
Thank you. Chris x

Hello Chris, welcome to our group. Does the garden lover in your name mean love of gardening or you love visiting gardens? I actually like doing both but don't always have as much time as I'd like for visiting gardens. I also have an allotment which keeps me busy.
You must be pleased it's now over a year since you had your surgery. Mine was on 6th April last year but I've no idea where all the time has gone.
Hi January-2016 thanks for your reply. Yes like you I both enjoy being in my own garden and visiting gardens too! I'm looking forward to visiting some open gardens this year 😀 . I also have a 'bucket list' of things to do and see!
As you say, I'm really pleased that a year has passed since my surgery on March 10th last year, as you must be also. I don't know why it feels so important but it does, doesn't it?!
Hi Chris, welcome to the group. I had my surgery in June last year and like you took the journey in 'bite size' chunks. I've returned to my 'normal' life but do a check every day of my body. I check in to this forum to be inspired and reassured by some amazing ladies. Onward💪🤗

Hi Chris, welcome to the site, yes all the ladies on here are really supportive and helpful and empathic. I take it you completed Chemo, it is good to write a journal. I wish you are the very best
Congratulations on your first post Chris, another step along the road. Yes, this is a great forum to be a member of, the beauty of it being we're all in it together and there is always someone who can offer advice, reassurance, encouragement etc etc.
As your a garden lover I'll tell you about the lovely National Trust garden I visited with my daughter earlier this week, Rowallen, in Northern Ireland. At present the rhododendron, azalea, cherry blossoms are in bloom along with bluebells, forest fire, tulips and the last of the daffodils. It was glorious to walk around .
