I have had groin and hip pain off and on since surgery (Mid Jan 2017). I was told the groin was likely pulled due to the odd position the legs are placed during surgery. It doesn't bother me as much as it did, but does flare up on occasion. The hip pain has been a bit more recent and have no explanation for that or other aches and odd feelings. I'll be having PT/CT scans in a few weeks and hoping all those aches are due to recovery, scar tissue, or anything else but cancer. I did just have a pelvic exam yesterday from Gyno Oncologist and she confirmed everything looked and felt good there. (And was having pelvis discomfort too) I think we should attribute these things to recovery until or unless we hear otherwise. 🤞🏻 for us both.

Hopefully not! Keep us posted but I am praying these are remnants of surgery and/or chemo. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Hi

Nearly 10- years down the line and I still get this on and off and to be honest I found that the more I focused the worse the pain. It's never once been a recurrence. Hope you get the reassurance you need soon. Kathy xxx

I too have groin and hip pain .the groin I attribute to all the rooting around from surgery last year and I just ignore it . And the hip pain I attribute to age and lying in bed for too long!!!I do an exercise I learned in pilates which really helps. It's inevitable we attribute everything to cancer whereas mostly (hopefully) it something else.

I get pain from time to time in my hips, my oncologist has confirmed there's nothing to worry about but I suppose we can tend to be over cautious, it is good though to be body aware. Have it checked if you are at all worried, I'm sure your team won't mind, reassurance is really important as is peace of mind. Big hugs ❤️Xx Jane

Me too.......left hip aches and often seems everything from the waist down is aching or hurting or sore! My tummy is still tender and sometimes feels uncomfortable, even hard in places 8 months after my hysterectomy. Then panic sets in............then my husband tells me to stop it, did I panic before my cancer diagnosis with every little ache or pain? He knows what its like, he was diagnosed in 2008 with stage 4 bowel cancer, three years of bowel/liver/lung surgery and chemo..........and is in his 6th year of remission! I gave myself a good talking to last night, telling myself I have got to realise this is my "new norm"........and just get on with it! But at 2am its easier said than done! I am sure you are fine..........distraction is what helps me! Good luck .xx

I was having groin pain for awhile and doctors couldn't tell me why. After a while, it stopped. I haven't a clue why I was having it or why it went away.
