Ever since my second cycle of carbo/taxol/avastin I have had constant minor nose bleeds, with unsightly clots and general unpleasantness. I mentioned it to the Oncologist and she suggested putting vaseline up my nostrils. Well I happened to have some so I tried it - instant success. No more bloody tissues all over the place!

Glad you found something to help you 😃
Good tip and glad it worked
Good for you! I had the same experience with the nose bleeds. i use coconut oil and that worked really well. With the platelet so low from the chemo we bleed more and clot less. my gums really bled when brushing or flossing.
good luck to you!
I have read not to floss and to use only sensitive toothpaste and soft bristle brushes. Avoid abrasive pastes and electric toothbrushes.
Thanks for this - I've had the same problem for months on and off. I will try Vaseline to see if works for me too! I even thought I'd get some red hankies just to make it less grisly looking...lol

This is the avastin causing this, maybe get Neil Med rinses and use once to twice a day they do work. I had to get ointment as nose got very sore, didnt think of vaseline but thanks for the tip,
Thanks for posting this. 'My kids get nose bleeds all the time. They'll be sitting quietly and suddenly there's blood everywhere. They are pretty unbothered now a days. So much so that when it happened on holiday in the sea the other one ran out the water screaming shark, shark. Must have inherited my sense of humour!! Fellow bathers looked horrified...I'll definitely try Vaseline. Love, T. X
