I would say soon enough so once the assessment is over, get a bag ready, a nighty or two for the first day or so post op is helpful. Loose clothes for coming home, bring in hand cream and a few magazines to read after the op as you wont be able to concentrate on reading a book unless it is one you can put aside and get back to later. Hi, the first time it was 3 days but that was because the 'cyst' I had was enormous. The second was just over a week. Wishing you well with your op. From my own experience, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and its amazing how quickly the body starts to heal itself. Do take it easy though. Wishing you well. Sx

I waited for about a week after the pre-op. Take care afterwards: my hospital gave me a huge list of what you could do and when afterwards. I told my husband it said you couldn't hoover for a year afterwards-lol!!
