I now have a pleural effusion that needs to be drained - I am only three months post NED scan. When I look up caused it always seems to be 'cancer' or recurrence, but I have had a pleural effusion in the past and a couple of embolisms. If anyone has had an effusion that turned out to be caused by anything other than cancer - really appreciation any kind of straw I can grasp.......
