Just an update on my bunged up problem.. I was still so constipated all over the weekend so I rang the oncology dept explained the situation to the nurse and she said to go to a&E so that's what I did. I had an X-ray and guess what I was constipated. Anyway the nurse gave me an enema and it worked great. I got such relief and I swore I would never let myself get that bad again. Thanks so much all you ladies for your replies, I do appreciate them. 😀

Glad your all sorted I was worried ... Nurse was telling me at my last chemo about a poor lady who was so constipated they struggled to get her going again.... So glad your ok what a relief 😃😃💪🏻💪🏻

Hi Damelza glad you got it sorted. I went to hospital with constipation. I was in agony I felt so I'll. My Oncologist sent me for a x.Ray. Said yes your very constipated handed me two enemas and sent me home. To sort it out myself.I was in such a state,felt sick ,dizzy and in pain. Couldn't stand or sit. She said she couldn't admit me no beds. Plus I was in a mess. I'll never let my self get like that again. Movecol,water,prune juice. And walking. Take care love Meg xxxx

Great you got sorted, its such a relief isnt it? Do use prunes in juice to keep on top of it all. I bet you are much more comfy, all the very best

Glad you got relief! All through my chemo, constipation was constant and one of the worst side effects. Frequently had me in tears. All the best

Oh, you bring back memories of the Movicol days. Tears, deep breathing, having to rest afterwards. Worse than giving birth!
