Hi
Has anyone on this site ever have severe pain and tenderness just below the ear, it feels like glands but no swelling. I had 5th line Carbo / Taxol and have had severe muscle pain since.

Hi Ellsey
Chemo really affected my ears..still got some hearing loss I think. I wondered if you might have an ear infection? Bad luck on the muscle aches..the chemo gift just keeps giving! You are nearly there...just keep on keeping on! Xx Lyndall
It sure does Lyndall, I phoned GP and he wants me to go and see him, one more to go thankfully.

It could be an infection or it could be your pillow, I use the firm ortho pillow as hurt my neck in a fender bender but when I have a cold and pile the pillows up then I get a sore neck. What I find good is the wheat neck cushion you get in the chemist, you can heat in microwave but it is also just as well to see your doctor, sending you best wishes

Just back from GP it's an infection of the Lymph node, on antibiotics now good old chemo don't we just love it.

Yes I agree this chemo etc gives us a litany of aches and pains and infections we never got before, the antibiotics will clear it up though goood news
I have a problem with itchy ears and occasionally they get sore from excess irritation at the base of the ear. This clears up for a weak of every chemo cycle when I get steriods which reduces inflammation. In the meantime I use a tiny bit of 1% hydrocortisone cream in the ear canal which really helps.
