A phrase I borrowed from Billy Connelly as I've always thought it suited my mood. I went out today with no wig and no hat. How liberating to feel the gentle breezes d the warm sun. I always thought I would never be brave enough to go out au natural so I surprised myself when I did. There are some cruel people in this world but I decided that's there problem not mine so this is me ladies. Fighting the fight!! Sorry I appear to be sideways π

Wind swept and interesting

Thank you so much π
Well done you look fab π
That's brilliant! Good for you
You look fantastic. You go girl.!!!
I have just got a little bit of hair growth now and my partner decided to call me a pineapple this morning. We did laugh.
Like you though, I have decided I'm ok with the look so if others want to stare then that's up to them.
Mandy, xx
Love this pic - you look fab. I also love that your title 'wind swept' has triggered related posts about trapped wind on the top right of my screen
Good on yer girl...& you look fabulous! π
Well done! You look fantastic.
It is liberating to feel the breeze without a wig but so far I've only experienced that in my garden.
All the best!
Looking great Shelly and good for you!

Well done Shelly.. embrace the baldness.. it takes confidence and you did it!! ππ Love Michelle x
Thank you everyone... Think you have to embrace the positives on this journey... It's so hard when you feel so vulnerable to have the confidence and conviction to not let the world get you down... Listening to all of the lovely ladies on this site has given me the confidence and support!! Ladies your amazing thank you from the bottom of my heart π
Well done I have not gone out without my hat yet but I have updated my Facebook photo without my hat just my bald head . 3 years ago when I was first diagnosed I wouldn't answer the door without my hat now I only wear it going out but you have put it into my head to dump the hat look out worldπ. Good for you and you look great. There is a very inspirational young British cyclist who has alopecia (spelling???) And she doesn't cover her bald head. I thought last night she looked amazing too. X

I have a flurry of silver across my bonce and will soon be going hatless. I just walked Dolly in my cotton baggie, (very trendy I'll have you know) beanie hat. Someone yelled "alright Noddy" out of his car.
Aw bless the youth of today. I wonder if he'd be so jovial after I got my hands on him... π

People can be so cruel... Your beautiful... That's one of the reasons I decided to brave it... You get looks wearing a wig or just a hat so I decided it's there problem not mine... My daughter says I have a funny shaped head and my ears feel cold constantly but I'm me and I here and I'm going to be bold ππ
