Anyone tried Epsom bath salts?

Heard lots of good reviews about Epsom salts in general. Just wondered if anyone on here has tried them after an op or when on chemo?

Also been looking into dead sea salts as they have a lot of similar properties and seem slightly cheaper?

Hey kitkat

I found the Epsom salts baths fantastic when I was having chemo! I had them regularly and they helped with bone ache and in general for sleeping etc. I still have them but not as often now (3 months after final Chemo!). It was someone here that recommended them to me!!!

I've just started having Epsom salt baths. I have been eating an extraordinary amount of chocolate lately, and I read that craving chocolate is a sign of needing magnesium! Epsom salts baths contain a lot of magnesium and help to redress the balance (apparently) so in a bid to stop the cravings I gave it a go and it has really helped 😄

I'm going to keep it up, especially once I'm back on chemo as I did get a bit of bone pain. I have a bag of Dead Sea salt to try next.

I began using epsom salts in my foot bath and bath many years ago and I really believe it helps the aches and pains and also neuropathy. Certainly if you soak in the bath for 20mins. I wouldnt use post surgery unless wound is totally healed. However I imagine you can soak your feet in a basin. The lady in the Chemist yesterday told me she also uses it for tired feet.

Well, I suppose half a bar was better than the whole bar, which I would have eaten normally!

Didn't think you could still get the dark ones! Yum. In Bruges for a 2 day escape so resisting chocolate is futile!

I use it a lot to help with neuropathy in my feet. It really works. I ordered it from the Internet. I ordered 10 kilos!!! It was about £10.

Westland on the internet sell large 5kg bags. I can't remember how much I paid but it was the cheapest place I found.

Done both, the difference is Dead sea salt contains potassium as well which helps additionally with joint/bone pains, you need appx 1kg in a bath. I buy loads from Holland and barret when they have their sales xxx

Does anyone have any idea about Himalayan salt?! Turns out I have a bag of that, not Dead Sea salt as I thought.

Someone on here gave me a great tip to get the large tubs in a vet supplies shop! There is a chemist in my town that had a vet section and I can get 5kg for about 10 euro so it's great!!!

Yes, I have used E. Salts for years. Did take some baths during chemo. Great for muscles and aches. Walgreens has with lavender that I like. Unfortunately, starting chemo again next Thursday and will continue to rake bathes. Feel good

Rather good special offer at the moment from Bodykind ; 5kg for £7.49 with free delivery

I've used this company before with no problems.
