Got my cast today! They didn't have Teal so went for purple! They had to set it in awkward position cos of break so it's going to to be very awkward....but as I always say......onwards and upwards!!!!

It looks awkward but I like the colour. You wiil find it hard to sleep but hope not.

It's a very pretty colour!!
You could always decorate it with some paint, haha. When one of the kids I work with broke her arm, we decorated it with flowers painted with nail polish.
(She wanted glitter.... *Shudder)

It's not painful just awkward! It will be on for 6 weeks and I am at work doing one fingered typing!!!😂😂😂

Hi D well that's a relief it doesn't hurt! Lol the one fingered typist oh dear! Yes I'm ok ish.. glad chemo finished as feeling better in myself. Now on Avastin programme for 12 cycles, done one so far.. it's ok but at times get a bit emotional as us girls do.. side-effects and the enormity of it all. I feel positive still and just wish it would clear off so to speak! xx
I hear ya Michelle! Sometimes and only for a short while the enormity of it all takes my breath away....the key is to be able to pull yourself back and that's getting easier thankfully!!! I am still a firm believer in letting it all out and do I always feel better afterward!! In the words of the song and in honour of her visit to Dub this weekend .........

Lovely color D but why does the cast look askew ro me? Camera angle maybe? Never knew that they needed to cover the entire arm for a wrist fracture. You will get well soon esp with so many in prayer for your speedy recovery.

It reminds me of when I had my surgery, a few days beforehand I had dislocated my left elbow. I had no cast but was supposed to have a traction device fitted. I agreed that I could have it on during the surgery so that while I was on the table, they would not be tempted to put my arms by my side! Gio
I like the nails. They match the purple. Hope you don't find it too much extra hassle and get it off soonest.
I love the colour. We will,have to start a campaign to have teal casts 😀. Hope it is not too annoying. I bet getting a bra on is challenging. Keep winning!

love the colour and the nails, my sprained ankle is healing very slowly had pet scan today mri Thursday then hopefully a plan of action surgery or chemo. Hope you heal quickly that cast looks pretty awkward. Sending hugs.....carefully of course
It's not too painful at all, I did sprain my ankle years ago and it was much more painful so hope you are OK! Hope the MRI goes well on Thurs!

That's good news it's not painful. I'm just tired from the chemo. Made an effort tho and been out tonight to see the Ab Fab movie. Wasn't the best but really full of famous people and did make us laugh. Glad I went to see it. It's a lot of effort though.xx
The fatigue is unreal and it's very hard to describe to anyone who hasn't felt it! I was only talking to someone who had breast cancer the other night and we said exactly that! It's like a hoover comes and sucks every bit of energy from every single cell in your body!!! I agree it's a real effort to do anything but it's important for your mental health to try at the same time!!! Don't worry while this is a constant when you are in treatment and for a time afterward it does get better and three months out I can really feel my energy levels rising! Mind yourself and take it easy too!!!
Haven't seen the Ab Fab movie yet but looking forward to it!!!

That does look awkward but I had the same colour cast on my leg when I broke a bone in my foot a few years ago so you are in good company!!
