Hi there
Has anyone got lots of small leisons instead of one bigger tumor and how did your doctor keep track of your progress other than ca125? Mine was barely picked up on Mri, nothing on ct but 3c following laparoscopy.
Thank you
Adina

Hi Adina
What was the name of your particular form of OC. Primary Peritoneal Cancer for instance does not usually have large tumours but little seeds of cancer in your peritineum . Not sure if you are in Ireland or UK. You are lucky that your doctor does the CA125 at least as some oncologists refuse to do it on a regular basis . It can show false positives or false negatives in some cases. Also you don't say whether you have just been diagnosed or have finished treatment. I am not a medical person but your doctor or oncology nurse are the best people to explain it all to you. Have your questions written down before you talk to them. Your oncology or liason nurse will always answer questions on phone. The very best of luck . Take care
A very experienced oncologist told me that this type of spread is very common in ovarian cancer - that's why it can be difficult to treat surgically. A new type of surgery called plasma jet can remove tiny lesions without damaging underlying tissue. It's used at the Royal Marsden. Hope this helps. Vx
I have I started chemo again on 6th of august, they all over my pelvis, bowel, liver and spleen and only picked up by CA 125 x
