Diagnosed in January 2015, 3 rounds of chemo - which didn’t work - then complete debulking in July. CA125 began to rise the following January but symptoms not too bad. By January 2017 I was on the LOGS trial at the Marsden and was randomly chosen to be on the non trial drug arm so given letrazole. Have been taking this now for almost two years and stayed relatively symptom free and the disease is stable. My question is how much longer can I expect the letrazole to keep me stable. Would be grateful if you could let me know your experiences on this drug. Thank you.

Hi there. I don't know how long Letrozole will work for you, but in retrospective studies the progression free survival time was shown to be anything from months to years. Just google for gershenson texas low grade hmt.
Two years is a good start, I'd say. Crossing fingers that it'll continue to keep the disease in check for you for years to come. I'm only just starting on Letrozole myself, so don't have any meaningful data to contribute from this side. Ask me in a few years?
All the best. Maus
I think it varies from patient to patient. I hope it continues to keep you stable for as long as possible. I've been taking Letrazole for only 6 months so far, & have a scan in just over a week to see how it's working for me. Di
Hi. My Mum was on Letrozole for 5 years before she moved on to tamoxifen. That didn't work for Mum and she is now on a trial.
I hope it does the trick for you. x
