I was completely overwhelmed by this honest, brave and courageous film and with the people with these same qualities in it. I was so moved by all of their stories and like always when I hear other patients' stories, I felt less alone.
Una Crudden is obviously near to me in my heart in particular because of the type she had and my own understanding of Ovarian. Now there was a woman who knew how to love and to give herself to other people.
I was so glad to hear about the new technologies coming through in Northern Ireland's labs.
Thanks for putting up the link. I wonder if the film is available to buy. Next time I feel down, I think it might help to watch how these patients live and lived their lives.
Thank you for posting , I too found this film very moving and although i did not Una I admired her strengh and spirit. Pam x
Hi. Saw the entire program and it was wonderful to watch - even if is was sad for some at the end. The program name was 'The Truth About Cancer on BBC1 Northern Ireland.
I recorded it as I missed a little piece about a new treatment (AIL.. something, I think) and want to hear it again, as it seems it may be suitable for clear cell OC and also advanced OC.
Una was an amazing woman & it always inspires me when I read about such strong women who 'alone' can achieve such great things: like awareness & publicity about cancer issues.
She will be missed by her family and of course, all of us women with OC.
Regards to all,
Daisies
Tina,
thanks a million for the link - interesting reading and also, so hopeful.

You're welcome Daisies.
Hi, I live in Belfast and knew Una well. I watched the documentary when it aired (Living with cancer). The whole show is very good. Una was filmed in the NI Assembly during her campaign to raise awareness of Ovarian Cancer in NI. Yours truly was present and there is a brief Clip of me with very little hair looking very serious. In actual fact I was trying my best not to cry as Una had been telling her story. Well worth the watch. Ann
