SThanks for all the messages and finding it less upsetting than clumps of hair everywhere my teenage granddaughter made it lot better when she said I was still bbeautiful but then she is biased lol

You are not only still beautiful you are more beautiful. Today you looked Cancer in the eye and showed it how strong and determined you are .

Went for my checkup on Friday and waited with a woman who had pure white hair about an inch long. It looked so young and stylish. I do hope she doesn't grow it any more.

Sandra always had a blonde trendy short style, her last hair regrowth came back in a fabulous mixed grey colour. She looks great so no more blonde or colouring looks for her. Xx

Losing the hair wasn't so bad after my daughter gave me a number one. hubby says he likes it short these days. I am surprised at how different it is now after losing it 3 times, it used to be thick and curly - a mop in other words, now it is fine and almost straight. Glad it keeps coming back though although everyone liked my wigs.

I have never looked good in long hair although I tried several times..My hair was thin and wavy and I have colored it for almost 20 years. Today, it is coming back thicker,extremely curly and salt and pepper color. Most of my friends love the color and like it really short. I can't do anything with it. I was it, towel try it and run a comb through it. Some days it looks kind of wild but it sure feels free. Bald was hard to do but I just rocked it most of the time. I have a very little head so wigs engulfed MY head and I had to wear children's hats. Now that I am almost off the steroids so my face is no longer swollen to twice it's size. All in all, as in life, this is temporary and I am anxious to see what tomorrow brings!!

It can all be quite liberating in a funny sort of way and it's so nice when the family join in. It brings you closer together. You also know it's not forever and that a whole new look is just round the corner.

Good girl. The worst bit is that indecision and I agree, sometimes this slightly radical change of style can be great! I had so many people saying please don't grow your hair it was quite a shock. I went back to dying when the pure white regrowth turned a nasty pepper and salt, but would have left it otherwise. It definitely was statement hair, and I loved it!

I am just over 1 year since finishing chemo, and my hairdresser said a couple of weeks ago she can see and feel that my hair is finally back to "normal". The post chemo curliness (apparently your follicles squish into a kidney shape!) has receded completely.

Well done, i had long curly red hair and now i have very short bleached blonde hair and i love it everyone comments how much i suit it. I would never have cut my hair this short and i love it. My eyelashes also came in thicker, see chemo isn't all bad eeeekkk can't believe i just said that lol xxxx
