Best of luck. I hope you can make something of the visit to your daughters. Perhaps a glass of wine to cheer you along. Mine is falling out slowly on Gemcitibane. Not sure which is worse but sure as eggs it's good once it's either in or out. One or the other.
Thinking of you. xxx Love Annie
I know what you are going through and it's not nice but once I had it shaved I stopped crying in the shower every morning. You do get used to it. You may need a hat at night as your head can get quite cold. I got some nice hats on the Internet. Good luck. Sue x
As Sue says once it is shaved off it is much better, when it is falling out it gets everywhere.
I have had 3 bald heads, 3 wigs and the last time I just wore scarfs. It does grow back, different each time.
Yes I do remember at night it did get a bit chilly, isnt it funny how some things come back to you.I am sure there are a few of us who can share a tale or two.
Regards Barbara.
It's less distressing than the constant stress of clumps... Gives you a chance to find a new normality. You have the choice of whether to wig or not, and it is YOUR choice! Do t let anyone else decide for you. Whichever you choose is perfect for you. By the way - Asian clothes shops often have great little stretchy skull cap scarves designed to go under the main headgear, I found them invaluable when I had winter baldness , and I actually still keep one in my bag as it covers my chilly ears when I am out! Or motorcycle shops do some lovely light silky ones! Courage: you will be OK

I got a freebie "Buff" head gear scarf that skiers use from the ward first time round. . Bought another couple and others from the Internet. Yeh wearing my various forms of head gear these cold nights
The stubble is causing some friction tho so head a bit irritated. Any advice???

Definitely best to shave as using clippers leaves stubble which hurts when lying on it lol! I know we are all different but losing my hair was a small price to pay if the treatment works. Besides, not everyone gets to see what they look like bald and I found I had a quite nice shaped head!!! Didn't wear my wig either, just scarves and pull on woolly hats with faces on lol!!! You'll find your own look and whats comfortable for you. Good luck.

I had the same problem this time round, I got a number 4 when the hair started coming out and was sore but I think the stubble was worse, also wondered about the hair ingrowing. hair back now, but thinner. I rubbed my bald pate with almond oil - don't know if it did any good or not!

I bit the bullet and had my head shaved last week -I'm embracing the bald look and I'm slightly addicted to the lovely scarves, bandanas and hats available! I've only worn my wig once ( hair started coming out with a vengeance after Christmas) - I don't find it very comfortable - don't know how Joan Collins and Dolly Parton do it! Unlike most of the ladies on here I have a hot head!
I'm keeping my head smooth and moisturised with Johnson's baby oil and I'm keeping the stubble at bay with the electric shaver I use for my legs.
I find that when I'm sitting watching tv I rub my head - find it very therapeutic! My husband loves it too. He calls me Willis now after Bruce Willis as he is also follicly challenged and I'm covered in bruises (Bruces!!!) It's a laugh a minute in our house!
