Anyone had a Urenery Stent?

I have a uretic stent which keeps open the tube between kidney and bladder. I don't really know that I have it, although when it is first done it can feel a bit funny - like you want to pee, but don't really need to.

They change it every six months under general anesthetic, so you do not know it is being done.

I had to have a nephrostomy to drain the build up of urine in my kidney first, but if you have not been told you have to have this, I think they will put your stent in the same way that mine are changed, ie under a general, so you won't know anything about it.

Hi, just to put your mind at ease, I have only the one kidney which works with a stent for many years x

Hi, i have stents done 5 weeks ago. First 2 weeks it felt a bit funny like u need to go to toilet every 15 min and had backaches. Unfortunately i developed infection and ended up on antibiotics. After that all went back to normal and do not know i have it done.
