I have joint this community today. I am already with thyroid and endometriosis forums
I wrote a blog on thyroid forum a while ago about having diagnosis of ovarian neoplasm ( tumor) on my right ovary.
It was a distressing to find out and it is very distressing to deal with it on the top of thyroid problems.
I have found some doctor who could deal with my problem ( gynecological oncologist).
GP agreed to do appt. booking through NHS Choose and Book.
Unfortunately this good doctor whom I suppose to see became ill and is on long term sick leave now. It is another obstacle to overcome.
It was very hard for me to find somebody recommended and when I found the person he is off sick. I am speechless and exhausted, truly....
I am wondering if anyone have someone that can recommend that they have seen?
I am still looking. I left questions on other forums but so far no recommendations.
I have done the internet search of course and there is plenty of doctors out there but as the matter is very serious I need to see somebody who knows their job well.
Is there an end to these problems.???...
I need good gynecological oncologist ( one that deals with potential and diagnosed ovarian cancers)
Please let me know if you know somebody good.
Thank you.
Best wishes to all.
ps . I am sorry if I made typin errors, I am writing this but I am very exhausted.

Hi there Edysia, I can imagine you are exhausted from all this stress. What I would recommend you to do is contact a local support cancer group in your area. Kate from Shefffield Mafia is quite good, and very supportive.go on to facebook and message her and she will get back to you. I am over here in Ireland, Cork and there are some good guys here also but that is not practical for you. Having been diagnosed with cancer is a very upsetting time in your life. But with the right treatments, it is not the death sentence it once was. There is hope out there and lots of drugs and treatments to control and may be cure cancer so dont get down. Start thinking positive, I can beat this. I hope I have the name I gave you right I will check it out and if its wrong, will get back to you. Best wishes
Sorry checked that out and its Sheffield Cancer Mafia, Kate who manages the facebook page is Kate as I said and she has been so helpful to me when I have been down. I am sure you will get good advice from her.
hiya Edysia. I am in Ireland too so no use to you. Follow Suzukis advice and just take one thing at a time. Hopefully you will get a gynae oncologist and things will move on. I have ovarian cancer and was very sick for a year but, not giving up. On 2nd line treatment now but, so far so good.
Just to tell you I live in Ireland and had to go to London in2012 for debulking surgery not available to me in Ireland. I had it done in Harley Street under Dr Adeola Olaiton a wonderful woman, very professional and caring, she may also work for the NHS. She performed an 8 hr operation on me and I was back in Ireland after ten days without a colostomy . I would highly recommend her. I certainly have the utmost faith and trust in her.
I'm sorry to read about the problems you had. I have relocated in order to get better tsreatment. If you're in the Midlands the Christie is considered to be the centre of excellence for ovarian Cancer. If you're in London the Royal Marsden has the most clinical trials. The Hammersmith allegedly the most radical surgeon in the UK - a Greek woman who trained in Berlin. Her name is something like Christina Popoulous. Haven't been able to track her down on their website but if you search you will be able to find her.
