Hi All. Had a r scenario with mri and CT scan in May..Markers were up but no growth of nodules etc. I told my Onc too I was confused and he said the same its good news that these signs are static but at the time I had limited options on drugs available. Last week felt unwell..was admitted to hospital and CT report came back presenting fluid in abdomen and on surface of liver..but they said no increase of nodules. However, I am starting a 6 month course of Carbo tomorrow every 3 weeks as im told there isnt sufficient fluid to drain it. This will be my 3rd chemo but its needed but he will then put me on a similar new drug to Olaparib after chemo (I cannot take Olaparib because my OC is not braca). Fingers crossed.

Hi Bquinn Hope your treatment goes well. Tough to be facing back into chemo but if it keeps the disease static worth it.

Fingers crossed for you as well. Good news that your markers are not increasing but sorry that you are holding fluid as that can be very uncomfortable. Hoping the chemo knocks back any potential new growth and hoping too that your fluids reduce on their own before needing to be drained. Best wishes with chemo and please keep us informed. We hold you in our thoughts and wish you easy treatments and better days.
Hi B had Carbo and Gem as second line and would have had to have Carbo if the Consultant had refused to treat me in Dublin followed by Parp as well. I wish you the best with it and hopefully it will reduce the ascites as well and give you some relief. You have been through a lot but you will get through this too, wishing you all the very best
Hi sorry for late reply, I’m in similar situation but I am BRCA 2 but am being told I can’t have Carboplatin a third time therefore I won’t be eligible for Olaparib, we’re you given any information like this’s and did you have 3 platinum lines?
