Hi I had my last chemotherapy during the week my CA 125 levels started at 1000 last December and last week after the 5th session it had only dropped to 181, I had 6 sessions of chemo and awaiting CT scan now. It doesn't look like they will drop to normal levels the plan is avastin if the ct scan is good. Has anyone had CA125 at this level after treatment.

I think this is a very good result it can continue to fall for a few weeks post treatment, The Avastin will also help to stabilize you more so go for it,

Thank you Suzuki I hope it will drop a bit further if the ct scan is good they plan to keep me on Avastin until December that will be 12 months of it in total.

Speaking from actual experience with the continous updates on markers and a previous 15 months on Avastin coksd I can tell you this is a very good response!! How long have you or will you be on Avastin? The average is approx 15 months as it can harm the kidneys due to proteins in the urine as a result of the drug. These markers may well drop further as you go along so syay positive. Sorry not on here too much unless I have a .knowlege of certain subjects but on this one I have done the course and it has definetly made a difference re markers 😊

Thank you bquinnx I started Avastin in December 17 with my first line chemo of carbo/taxol and they said after the ct scan in about 3 weeks they hope to keep me on it until December this year. Trying to stay positive, Thank you hope they will drop further

I was lucky too with Avastin had almost two years of it and it was stopped before it could do damage to my system, It kept me stable until now so definitely I can recommend it.

Hiya I was given the news no signs of any disease 2 weeks ago. Last chemo was end of Feb 2018. My numbers were 200 when given that news so don't worry too much. My worry now is awaiting a CT scan to see why it's raised over 400. Hope u stay well xx
