I write this post with a very heavy heart but this was my promise to Phil or Kittie as we all knew her. Phil who was always a stalwart at our coffee mornings and patients days in Cork and Dublin passed today. Phil had been unwell for some months but took as much treatment as she could to prolong her life. I think she even surprised her team in Tullamore General Hospital, My deepest sympathies to her husband Jerry, her sister Jennifer both of whom I met at the various events, also to her brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews. Phil we will miss you dearly but we will never forget you,

Hi Zanetta hope you are okay, no we will never forget Phil or Juliet. Phil was so kind to me at my first Ovacare coffee morning in Cork and we kept in touch between meetings.
Thank you for your post, too many of our lovely ladies have left us lately, over the 3 1/2 years I've been on this site some amazing ladies have passed, it needs to stop and hopefully it will improve. My condolence to her loved ones take care Lorraine xx

So sorry to hear about Phil. I met her at Coffee mornings in Dublin and she was always so upbeat, no matter what was thrown at her. May she now rest in peace, her pain and suffering over. She is an inspiration to all who are still fighting the battle against ovarian cancer.
Hi Gemma, yes Phil was an inspiration took all that was thrown at her. She once sent me a hand made Christmas Card which I treasured. She is now at peace
So sorry for your loss Joan. Hope you are keeping well yourself? I still get the email reminders of posts on the forum, it was such a help to me during mam's illness. My best wishes to you all.
Thank you marymarcy, its nice to hear from you, yes Kittie was a great lady on here and it was also a ray of light to meet her at the various coffee mornings and patient days. I am stable for now but that could change
That is very sad news and must be so very hard for you to tell Suzuki, having been such good friends. Thinking of all her family and friends and all we can do is keep fighting, and hoping that one day there will be a cure for this hateful disease for future generations. Madeline xxx
Phil had asked me to do this some months ago when she was on treatment and feeling unwell, she did pick up and had more treatment and was almost there, But she fell ill last Monday and left her family yesterday.
So sorry to hear such sad news of Phil, my deepest sympathy to you and her family....

Was thinking of her handbags earlier and the way she joked about hiding them all away fromher sister Jennifer,
I am so sad to hear that our invincible Phil has passed away. In spite of many setbacks she displayed such enormous courage . When we met at coffee mornings she was so cheerful that you could forget she was going through difficult times. I will never forget her. May her brave soul Rest In Peace. My condolences to her family and friends . God bless

I am gutted really because I thought Phil was coming out of the other end and would get a break for a while but sadly it was not to be.
Thanks for letting us know Joan that the lovely jolly happy optimistic Phil is resting in pain free peace. She was a lovely lady who always saw the silver lining and Ovacare coffee mornings will miss her wonderful sunny perspective!
Hopefully herself and Juliet will set up there own little coffee club where ever they are!
May she rest in pain free peace.
