This is Steph, Juliet's daughter. I am so sorry to say that my Mam lost her long battle with Ovarian Cancer yesterday. She had spent 3 weeks in hospital, going downhill very quickly. She fell asleep at 5am on 26th December, and didn't wake up again. She took her last breath yesterday afternoon, 27th December, surrounded by myself, my brother, her partner Tom, close brothers and their wives, my aunt and my cousin, and 2 of her closest lifelong friends.
She was much loved, and was a wonderful, funny, loyal, warm person. This photo of her was taken just 5 weeks ago, and sums up all that she was.
I can't express to you all how much this support group meant to her. She found such great support from all the friendships she made in this group. I'm truly sorry to have to break this horrible news to you all
Her funeral will be held in Dublin on Saturday morning, details are as follows. rip.ie/showdn.php?dn=340667...
Oh Steph I am so very sorry to hear this! I met you mum a number of times at coffee mornings and patient days and she was a wonderfully warm and positive person! I will miss her smiling face at the get togethers. Please accept my condolences for you and the rest of your family. May the lovely Juliet rest in pain free peace.
I am so, so sorry to hear that. I spoke to your mum just before Xmas and I was asking could I visit her after Xmas in hospital. She agreed and asked me to get in touch with you. I was just taking a bath 20 mins ago and was thinking that I will give you a call tomorrow morning to organise the visit...
Please accept my sincere condolences. Juliet was wonderful woman. She was strong fighter and had a spirit. We were laughing a lot with her on the ovacare meetings. We will miss her

Oh Steph I am sorry to hear this sad news, although I never met your mum her posts on this site were inspirational to me. I am so sad to lose another teal sister.
I only just read this steph. I’m so sorry you have lost your beautiful mother. I met her once, when I was a scared fairly newly diagnosed member of this group and found her smiling face and cheery disposition so encouraging. I think she knew then (oct 2017) that things were difficult for her but she didn’t show it and seemed determined to live until she died. I hope I have the same courage.
Mary
I’m so sorry to hear this Steph may she Rest In Peace
