HI 1924, Welcome to the site, I am here in Cork and we recently had a coffee morning. There is a patient day in Dublin on Nov 5th at the Red Cow Moran Hotel in the morning, It runs for the day but they are usually very informative days. You can register for this event if you are able to go on the Ovacare webpage. I know they had a successful coffee morning in Dublin a few weeks back so I am very certain there will be another one post Christmas. I am glad you found us. Have you had treatment or waiting for treatment ? I was diagnosed ten years ago and at present I am stable. I know other ladies will reply to your post so for now I wish you the very best

Hi Sz123, l'm on Avastin every three weeks since October 2013. I didn't have my last treatment as there was too much protein in my urine. One of the side effects they monitor to keep an eye on the kidneys. How are you getting on??

HiSz123, it's awful when you hear that you have a recurrence. It's also hard to get back into the positive mindset you need to get you through the treatment etc. I hope you have lots of support and the ladies on here have so much good information and compassion to share ❀️️ I made sure to eat all round me ,as after been admitted to hospital with vomiting and a blood clot in which I had a big weight loss . You can worry about getting the weight of when you're feeling better. 😬I'm still telling my self that πŸ™„ Mind yourself Sz123 and keep in touch x

Hi 1924, and welcome to this wonderful site. I am stage 3c diagnosed October 2012 ,I had 18 weeks carbo/ taxol I then had 22 months before my 1st reacurrance in January 2014 again I had Carbo/taxol, I had my 2nd recurrence in April of this year and once again was put on Carbo/ taxol this time with Avastin all was stopped at the end of June ,my body could not take anymore and needed at break. At the moment I am on watch and wait and it looks I will be back on treatment this time Topotecan with Avastin before Christmas. It would be great if you could attend the Patients Day before it is a great way to meet ladies in the same situation and also get some valuable information from the speakers on the day. There is also a question and answer session. Take care . Kittie

Hi 1924, There are no details of the speakers at the Patients Day up yet The only thing that's on line at the moment is the Date and where it is on . Also how to register. If you want to see that it's when you turn on the Ovacare page at the very top the details of the Coffee Morning in Cork come up and straight after that the Patient Day details come up. If you keep an eye on the site it should be up by the end of the week . Kittie
